Believe me when I say I used to be a Nutella “expert” aka I ate a lot of it!!
I used to be able by tasting it, to tell whether or not it was made it Italy!! Strange..but true 🙂
I heard about “rawtella” a while ago, which is a healthy nutella alternative but never tried making it.
So the other day I bought some hazelnuts and on the way home I thought: I wonder what happens if I put these in a food processor and add some cacao powder and sweetener to it!!
Well, that’s what happened!! A delicious tasting hazelnut spread that YES, taste so much like Nutella and YES, it is made in Italy 😉
Ingredients
400gr roasted hazelnut (brown skin removed)
2 Tbls cacao powder
1 Tbls honey (or sweetener of choice)
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
Steps
Put all the ingredients in a food processor and blend for 5 to 8 min (depending how powerful the blades are) while scraping the sides every minute.
Pour in a jar and ENJOY!!
