This DIY hair spray has essential oils that help promote hair growth! I spray this goodness elixir all over my wet hair after I get out of the shower, and if you really want to up the hair-growth-promoting factor, I also like to spray it directly on your roots every night before bed (massage your scalp for a minute or so) Also, there is such a tiny amount of oil in this recipe that is heavily diluted in water, so it should not make your hair oily/greasy if you’re worried about that!
Ready to get rolling? Here’s what you’ll need:
- 100ml glass bottle
- 10 drops Rosemary EO
- 10 drops Lavender EO
- 10 drops Cedarwood EO
- 1 tsp Witch Hazel (it helps the oils and water mix)
- Water to fill
- Fill up the glass bottle with water most of the way
- Add 10 drops each rosemary, lavender, and cedarwood essential oils
- Add the witch hazel
- Give the spray a good shake each time before applying.
Easy peasy. Once you have the supplies to make this, you can make this over and over again!!
And if you’re ready to dive in and get your oily starter kit (hint: DO IT) you can start here!
And before I go, a quick word on Stress and Hormone imbalance when it comes to hair loss.
Research shows that stress is associated with hair loss and so is a hormone imbalance. Stress triggers inflammation and prematurely induces hair follicle regression, leading to hair loss. It may seem too easy, but simply diffusing calming and stress-relieving essential oils like lavender and clary sage at home can go a very long way, try it!!
